Raj Kashyap started his career as a programmer in 2009 in a software start-up in Brazil. While working on some very exciting projects early on, he realized that while he liked programming, he was way more interested in the bigger picture of the projects that he was working on; things like how to understand the client’s requirements, how to juggle the multiple moving pieces during the planning and execution of a project and how to ensure the overall success of a project. This led to him making an early and natural career shift from programming to project management.

 

Raj has managed software and IT projects for companies in Brazil, India and New Zealand for seven years. He has delivered projects to some major Fortune 500 clients in the USA, Australia and Europe. He is PMP certified and has experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies of project management and is well versed in the intricacies of the end to end software development and IT delivery life-cycles.

One of the reasons Raj decided to move to New Zealand is because of the opportunities for outdoors activities that the country has to offer as he loves anything to do with nature and adventure. Raj also has a passion for working with young people in the community. He loves volunteering for and working with social organizations, using his leadership and mentoring skills to bring about social and personal change through self-awareness and character building.
